New A1 Family Co., Ltd. [ABC Challenge Support Program Participating Company (Recommended by Union of Myanmar Federation of Myanmar Chambers of Commerce and Industry)]
New A1 Family Co., Ltd. is a leading agri-based responsible business in Myanmar, producing chili powder and spices certified to ISO 22000, and a trusted chili and onion exporter since 1982.
New A1 Family Co., Ltd. is a privately owned company and has grown into a leading manufacturer and supplier specializing in chili powder, culinary crops, and spices. With over 40 years of experience and a strong reputation since 1982, the company has been trusted in Myanmar’s agri-based value chain.
We directly source raw materials such as chili, onions, and garlic from farmers, ensuring consistent quality and fair value to producers. For more than four decades, the company has exported high-quality agricultural products to neighboring countries and maintained stable trading relationships.
In 2019, New A1 Family established an ISO 22000 accredited factory, strengthening its production capacity and quality assurance system. Under the “A1 Family” brand, the company produces premium-quality chili powder as well as a variety of spices and culinary products that is the well known brand in Myanmar.
From 2025 onward, the company began exporting chili powder, spices, and fresh onions to Japan. The first container of spices shipment to Japan was successfully completed in August 2025, reflecting positive market acceptance among Japanese consumers. The second shipment is also completed in November and preparing for subsequent orders to Japan and expecting for further collaboration with Japanese enterprises in the future.

New A1 sources chili and onions directly from key producing regions including Kumae, Myittha, Kyaukse, Meikhtila, Pyawbwe, Myingyan, Hinthada, Salin, Mawlamyaing, and Shan State. To ensure timely and efficient supply, the company operates multiple raw material collection and storage points in Meikhtila, Pyawbwe, Myingyan, Kumae, Yaewun, Salin, and Myittha. Through these networks, New A1 maintains direct and indirect relationships with approximately 5,000 chili and onion farming households across Myanmar.
The company actively engages in contract farming in the highland areas of Shan State, specifically partnering with Shan ethnic farming communities. The program aims to address challenges related to seed varieties, crop productivity, and market access. New A1 provides support through Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) training, post-harvest handling techniques, and expert advisory from agricultural specialists and consultants. The objective is to increase the income and resilience of smallholder farmers, beginning with a cohort of 200 farmers starting in 2023.
New A1 is committed to women and youth empowerment within its supply chain. The company seeks to increase the participation of women farmers in contract farming activities in Shan State, with a target of 44% women inclusion.
Through long-standing export relationships, New A1 supplies approximately 5,000 metric tons of dried chili and 100,000 metric tons of onions to border trade partners annually. These products are then distributed to Bangladesh, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, and China, where they serve as raw materials for food processing and trading markets.
Building on its strong trading foundation, New A1 expanded into value-added processing. In 2019, the company established an ISO 22000 certified production facility and launched the “A1 Family” brand of premium chili powder, along with a growing range of spices and culinary ingredients. This has elevated the company’s capacity to serve both domestic and export markets with high-quality, food-safe products.
Starting from February 2025, New A1 began direct exports of fresh onions, dried chili, chili powder, and spices to Japan and South Korea, while also preparing to expand into additional neighboring and international markets. The successful market acceptance of A1 Family chili powder in Japan marks an important step in strengthening long-term trade partnerships and enhancing the company’s regional competitiveness.
