We, "Nursing Home Cooperative", are a supervisory organization specializing in nursing care, consisting of medical and nursing care providers, and are the top leader in Japan in the acceptance and education of nursing care technical intern trainees. We will introduce the acceptance of trainees who are at the mercy of the spread of corona infection, and life after the trainees' arrival in Japan.

November 19, 2020.
After 8 months, 1 trainee from Vietnam and 11 trainees from Indonesia
have safely arrived in Japan!

The trainees will undergo a PCR test for the new coronavirus within 72 hours before leaving Japan, and will be confirmed negative before leaving the country.
Even after arriving at Narita Airport, trainees from countries with a large number of infected cases will undergo PCR testing at the airport,
negative test before coming out.
They came out 3-4 hours after arrival....
After that, they will go to Komoro City, Nagano Prefecture by chartered bus.
Upon arrival at the training center, all luggage will be sprayed with alcohol and taken to each private room.
Each room is equipped with a packed lunch and food for breakfast and dinner for the week.
Starting today, you will spend 15 nights and 16 days in a private room with temperature checks in the morning and evening and a box lunch delivered at lunchtime.

In March 2020, the entry of technical intern trainees was suspended due to the spread of the new coronavirus.
With no idea when they would be able to enter the country, the trainees waited anxiously for their entry.
And the teachers who were looking forward to the trainees.
Smiles naturally abound.
The next morning everyone waved cheerfully from the balcony. Finally, the training started!
During the period of isolation, we did radio exercises on the balcony every morning.
First time in a foreign country, first time in Japan.
We were all very excited to see the new residents, who were all very curious about things like "I don't know how to use the shower," "My laundry went flying," "What is this food? What is this food?
What is this food?
The teachers are busy taking temperatures in the morning and evening, distributing lunch boxes to each room, and dealing with all the happenings.
However, the teachers are also very busy teaching the trainees who have finally arrived.

Classes are also online during the private room isolation period.
Each room is equipped with Wifi and a tablet.

We received many donations for the trainees, both from the local community and from all over the country.
On this day, we received a lot of Chinese cabbage from local people and distributed them to the trainees.
The students asked, "Sensei, what is a Chinese cabbage?" How do you eat it?
There were many foods that were new to the trainees after coming to Japan.
The trainees, who are unable to go out for shopping, order necessary items for their daily life from their teachers via online.

All are in good health and transitioning to group training after 15 nights and 16 days of quarantine.
We all feel very happy to be able to take classes together.
On this day, EMTs from the fire department came to visit us.
During the post-immigration training, students also take a first aid course and receive a certificate of completion.

From now on, I will do my own shopping.
There are many things I have never seen before at the supermarket I am going to for the first time.
I enjoyed shopping while learning how to shop and save money from my teacher.

Closing ceremony on January 15.
The trainees had spent anxious days due to the uncertain timing of their entry into Japan due to the outbreak of a new type of coronavirus infection.
After completing the 2-month post-entry course in Nagano, they left for Japan with their certificates of completion for the initial training for nursing care workers.

On December 4, 16 trainees from Indonesia and 2 from the Philippines entered Japan,
It was announced again that restrictions will be placed on the entry of Indonesian and Filipino trainees from December 28.
In order to allow as many trainees as possible to enter the country, staff members in Japan and abroad worked together, and on December 20, two from the Philippines and 17 from Indonesia entered the country.
On January 7, News list announced that Vietnam would also be restricted from entering the country, and 6 from Vietnam suddenly entered on January 8, and 2 from Vietnam on January 11.
On January 13, it was announced that entry restrictions would begin on January 14 (January 21 even if visas have already been issued), and now trainees are again unable to enter the country.

There are still 100 trainees waiting to enter the country.
We are praying that the spread of the new coronavirus will stop as soon as possible.
I also hope that the trainees waiting in their home countries will be able to resume their entry into Japan soon.
