The 1st Vietnam-Kansai Startup Forum was held on 11/5(Fri.)
In cooperation with the Consulate-General of Vietnam in Osaka, JETRO Hanoi Office, and JETRO Osaka, we held an event to introduce Vietnamese startups. After a presentation by JETRO Hanoi on the current status of Vietnamese startups and JETRO Osaka on the J-Bridge initiative, five carefully selected Vietnamese startups and one major company made pitches. The Japanese-language presentations narrated by the speakers gave the audience a sense of the near future, so much so that they felt their Japanese was better than that of foreigners who speak it fluently. I also sensed great potential in PhenikaaX, which has developed automated driving technology in a short period of time and has even progressed to demonstration testing. Through such efforts in the future, the Kankeiren ABC Platform hopes to continue to provide opportunities for new business creation between ASEAN and Japanese companies.
