"Virtual Japanese Companies Career Fair organized by MJIIT and JACTIM 2021"

We are pleased to announce "MJIIT/UTM Japan Career Fair 2021" organized by Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT) and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). This fair is for Japanese companies only.

1. outline and purpose of the event
The Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT) was established in Kuala Lumpur in 2011 as an academic institution of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) based on an agreement between the governments of Japan and Malaysia. Through the support of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), MJIIT is promoting joint degree programs and academic exchanges in cooperation with the Japanese University Consortium, which is formed by 30 Japanese universities. In industry-academia collaboration, MJIIT is making particular efforts to promote partnerships with Japanese industry, including internships and joint/commissioned research.
MJIIT will co-host the "MJIIT/UTM Japan Career Fair 2021 (tentative)" with the Japanese Chamber of Commerce of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (JACTIM) in order to promote human resource exchange in the industrial sectors between the two countries. The fair will be open to final year students of all UTM faculties, including MJIIT (approximately 500 students are expected), and participating companies will focus on Japanese companies, allowing participation from Japan, Malaysia and other countries.

Exhibiting companies
Approximately 20 to 30 Japanese and Japanese-affiliated companies in Japan and overseas that are interested in hiring foreign high-level human resources in science and technology fields.
If a certain number of companies are expected to participate, we may consult with them individually regarding the form of their exhibits, etc.

Exhibit format *The application period closed on August 13 (Fri.), 2012.
Choose one of the following three options
(1) Company presentation (45 minutes) + Recruitment interview (on the last day)
Details of the process from presentation to interview will be provided at a later date.
(2) Company presentation (30 minutes) + web booth session for groups of interested students
Details on the flow from presentation to group session will be provided at a later date.
(3) Company presentation only (30 minutes)

9. number of participants
Number of participants: Approximately 500 MJIIT/UTM undergraduate and master's students
Fields of expertise: Information and communication, electrical and electronics, chemistry, environment, machinery, etc., science and engineering personnel
Languages: Fluent in English as well as native Malay. Some ethnic groups speak Mandarin, Cantonese, Hindi, and other native languages. MJIIT students can also speak Japanese (mainly N3-N5 level).

▪ Company introduction presentations by exhibiting companies
Group web booth session with exhibiting companies
▪ Recruitment interview
Key note speech (theme: "Highly-skilled foreign human resources required by Japanese companies")
▪ Seminars (theme e.g. "What is Japanese management?", "KAIZEN, 5S, On-site", "Japanese corporate culture", etc.)
▪ Graduates' experience of working in Japanese companies (about 1 person each from Japan and Malaysia)
